Popular Vote Update - Feb. 10th

UPDATE: The results as of February 27th are here:

Here are the updated popular vote totals for the Democratic presidential candidates:

Kerry slightly increased his lead over Edwards to +18 (42-24), up from +17 (40-23) after Maine and Michigan over the weekend, and up from +15 (39-24) after the Feb. 3rd primaries.

Edwards also increased his share of the vote, from 23% to 24%, but not enough to keep pace with Kerry.

Clark remained stationary at 14+%, and Dean dropped almost 2 points, from 11.5 to 9.8%.

The results are provisional. Maine is still only reporting 80% of the vote, Virginia was 99% in, and Tennessee was 98% in -- so there may be some small adjustments once I get all the numbers.

These numbers do not include Iowa or Washington, because the raw vote totals for caucus-goers were not reported. The totals do include North Dakota, because raw vote totals were released and, in truth, North Dakota's caucus operated like a mini-primary (IIRC voters could come anytime between 2 pm and 7 pm and cast a presidential preference ballot).

I also did not include the DC primary, which I recall being reported as a Dean win, with Sharpton second -- I couldn't find any results.

I obtained the raw data from the ABC News state-map page and the CNN Election '04 page (browse by state results).
